French Diagnostic is a chronological crash course in concert music from a French perspective. Using two themes, it journeys through through the medieval period, the baroque period, the classical period, the romantic period, and finally the 20th-century period, offering the listener a historical array of influences that demonstrate the french influence on concert music through the ages.

Meritorious is a profound expression of perseverance.  It celebrates the virtues of focus, discipline, and tenacity and follows their inevitable push toward achievement.  Diverging from traditional orchestral patterns, this piece thunders with the palpable force of a miniature percussion army and relies primarily on a bold and skilled brass section to carry the essence of the piece.  Feel the weight and intensity of the quest as it slowly but surely culminates into a cathartic triumph.

HYDROSONATINA
for Strings

A smooth ride downstream on a makeshift raft takes a tumultuous turn into currents of unpredictable waters that toss, turn, rattle, and rage until a foaming whirlpool grips the raft and mercifully crashes it onto safe lands, ending a wild ride in a faint of relief

SERENADE and FANTASY
for Strings

Serenade and Fantasy is an expression in two movements. Serenade juxtaposes a prim pizzicato theme against warm, soothing arco passages and combines the moods in the end for an affectionately conversational conclusion. Fantasy is built on an idyllic leitmotif (a short, constantly recurring musical phrase). The theme begins in the violas and expands into the rest of the ensemble throughout the movement and presents overall with a gleeful stroll.

SILENT NEON
for Strings

Against an expansive black backdrop, Silent Neon paints a brilliant sketch of fiber optic hues. In this meditative light show, bright lines and shapes emerge from the darkness sequentially with the caution and deliberation of an absorbed performance artist. The dancing lights grow and morph, imbuing the atmosphere with an entranced fascination.
